About the venue

The church with the
gold dome.

For more than a century, St. John Armenian Church has been a place where families gather for the milestones that matter. Our event campus carries that tradition forward — three distinctive venues, one storied home.

A heritage

Built by community,
worn into family.

The St. John Armenian Apostolic parish has called metro Detroit home for over a century — a community that has grown, in the words of its own stewardship, "from a small, humble flock into a great and thriving community." In 1966, after years of careful research and consultation with architects who studied classic Armenian sacred buildings firsthand, the parish dedicated and consecrated the structure now known as "the church with the gold dome."

In 2022, our grand ballroom underwent a comprehensive renovation: new lighting, ceilings, and finishes that honor the original character while bringing the space firmly into the present.

For information about parish life, worship, and ministries, visit the main church site at stjohnsarmenianchurch.org.
